International Dark Sky Week is 21st – 28th April 2025 - a global celebration!
It’s a perfect opportunity to appreciate the beauty of our night skies and experience the wonders of the universe.
Suzy from Starbright Wonderland will be delivering a FREE 45 min interactive activity at the Mandurah Visitor Centre. The activity is recommended for children ages 6 to 11 and will help them learn about the science behind stars, planets, and the universe.
Children will dive into the wonders of the night sky by making their very own planispheres, a cool tool that shows what stars are visible at any time of the year! They'll even get the chance to win fun prizes by testing their knowledge throughout the activity.
Every child will leave with their own planisphere and an interactive hand out to take home and explore the sky at night with their families.
This activity is perfect for sparking curiosity, creativity, and a love for the stars—all while celebrating Dark Sky Week in a fun and educational way!
